TWIPPHOTO Blog Upgrade Next Saturday - Heads Up!

Here’s a heads up. On July 19, we plan to move the TWIPPHOTO.COM blog to a new host. This will require us to shut down the blog for about 24 hours. So sometime Friday we’ll go offline and sometime Saturday we’ll come back up.
We’re also upgrading to WordPress 2.5 which should fix some bugs we had when people did category searches.
Thanks to our new producer Jeff, we have more IT help.

Jeff and Aaron have been working hard to make this switch a reality - but there could still be a few bugs. If your comment gets lost for instance during the move, don’t assume it’s a giant conspiracy. It might just be a mistake. We’re trying to preserve as much of the blog as we can during the move and are shooting for 100%.
When we come back up Saturday, test it out and let us know if we missed anything. Our team will get right on it and hope to make things better for all of us during the long haul.
I will post and re-post this message throughout the week to let everyone know our plans.

You and the rest of the TWiP staff run a great operation. I can’t think of any other website that is as forthcoming as you guys are. Thanks for keeping us in the loop and good luck with Transition Friday.

Yay! Not that I’ll be happy that TWiP is down, but I’m happy that I won’t miss a thing while it’s down since I’ll be in the Wind River Mountains that Weekend.

Wordpress 2.6 just came out. Maybe you would like to hold the upgrade for a couple of days to see how it works out.
